Né le 26 octobre 1946 à Breda aux Pays-Bas, Pieter Laurens Mol vit et travaille à Bruxelles

Il a étudié la photographie à la Saint-Joost Art Academy. Ses œuvres ont été largement exposées au Van Abbemuseum d’Eindhoven, au Kunsthalle Basel et au MoMA à New York. Sa monographie « Grand Promptness » fut publiée en 2000. Ses œuvres font partie d’importantes collections internationales, aussi bien privées que publiques.
